The Vizier
A treacherous advisor who returns from the dead to unleash the Sands of Time and transform into a monster by impaling himself with the Dagger.
The Vizier is a secondary antagonist of Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, serving as a corrupt advisor who, in the game's modified timeline, alone found the hourglass on the Island of Time empty, as the Sands of Time had never been created. At the start of the game, he is still alive because he never released the Sands of Time and fought the Prince in the original timeline. He uses the Dagger of Time to stab the Prince, then impales himself with the Dagger to transform into a monster, and later kills Kaileena in his monster form after the Sands are released.

Lore & Background
The Vizier's role in The Two Thrones is defined by his actions in the altered timeline created by the Prince's defeat of the Dahaka. In the original timeline, the Vizier and Maharajah traveled to the Island of Time and found an hourglass filled with the Sands of Time. In the modified timeline, the Vizier alone found the hourglass empty. Because the Vizier never released the Sands of Time and fought the Prince in the original sequence of events, he is still alive at the beginning of this game. As a result, Farah, who helped the Prince during the events of The Sands of Time, has never met the Prince and never journeyed to Azad with him. The Vizier's return to power is marked by his attack on Babylon. As the Prince and Kaileena return to the city, they find it ravaged by war. Their ship is attacked and destroyed, and they wash ashore. The Prince awakens and watches as enemy soldiers take Kaileena away. The Prince fights his way into the palace and confronts the Vizier, who stabs the Prince with the Dagger of Time. The Vizier then impales himself with the Dagger, transforming into a monster and releasing the Sands. In his monster form, the Vizier kills Kaileena. In the confusion, the Vizier throws the Dagger aside and the Prince manages to steal it before the Sands infect him completely.
In Their Own Story
The Vizier stands in the palace of Babylon, his robes heavy with the weight of his dark ambition. He watches as the Prince fights his way through the war-torn city, a cruel smile playing on his lips. When the Prince finally confronts him, the Vizier acts swiftly. He kills Kaileena with the Dagger of Time, unleashing the Sands of Time once more. Then, in a shocking act of self-destruction, he impales himself with the same dagger, transforming himself into an immortal monster. In the chaos that follows, he throws the Dagger aside, allowing the Prince to steal it before the Sands can infect him completely. The Vizier's actions set the stage for the Prince's journey through Babylon, as he must now defeat the Vizier once and for all while struggling against his own Dark Prince persona.
Reader's Guide
The Vizier is the primary antagonist of Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, serving as the final boss the Prince must defeat. His key ability is his transformation into an immortal monster after impaling himself with the Dagger of Time. This transformation grants him immortality and makes him a formidable opponent. The Prince must work together with Farah, whom he meets for the first time in this new timeline, to defeat the Vizier once and for all. The Vizier's defeat is the central goal of the game's story. The Prince must navigate the war-torn city of Babylon, confront the Vizier in the palace, and ultimately overcome the Vizier's immortal form. The Vizier's actions also trigger the Prince's transformation into the Dark Prince, as the Sands infect a wound on the Prince's arm, embedding a whip-like weapon known as a Daggertail in his skin. This internal struggle against the Dark Prince persona adds another layer of conflict to the Prince's quest to defeat the Vizier.
